You do NOT need to be rooted. But make sure you remove any “lagfix” before you begin. 1. Download and install the Captivate drivers goo.gl Reboot computer afterwards. 2. Download the Froyo one-click-installer goo.gl Open the installer afterwards (should say Odin in titlebar) 3. Put the Captivate into Download Mode goo.gl 4. Connect Captivate to computer through USB 5. You should see COM# in the Odin one-click-installer 6. Click Start to flash. Good luck!
