The tsunami swept the house, vehicles, even a storied building which is on the northeast coast of Japan, this afternoon. Tsunami as high as six to ten meters was triggered by an earthquake measuring 8.9 on the Richter Scale (SR), this afternoon.
According to the Associated Press news agency, the quake began to be felt on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 14:46 local time. About 30 minutes later, a magnitude 7.4 aftershock occurred SR. The U.S. Geological Survey assessed that the first quake measuring 8.8 magnitude.
